The 2012 Members’ workshop took the form of an interactive simulation exercise focusing on public challenges to accountability. Over the course of the day and a half, participants engaged in crisis management, interagency coordination and exercises on how to cope with unseen knock-on effects that can bring the accountability of an organisation into question. The Workshop highlighted how the Charter (Accountable Now) can help when allegations are directed against NGOs or questions are asked about the value-added nature of NGO activities. The Workshop took place in Amsterdam on 10-11 September and 20 participants attended. The evaluation showed that 76% of participants found the . overall Workshop ‘very useful’ and 18% ‘extremely useful’.
