Accountable Now is happy to partner with Integritas 360 to provide deeper financial, anti-corruption, and fraud prevention training and certification. Their aims and standards are in line with our 12 Commitments and vision for a more accountable sector
Course Overview
NGOs not only provide essential services to those in need, but form a sizable portion of the global economy. The valuable work they undertake, in tandem with a focus on mission-above-profit can lull them into thinking that corruption is less of a problem than it is in the for-profit sector. Despite, non-profits facing a number of unique risks which make the sector more vulnerable to fraud and corruption, NGOs have the lowest implementation rate across all sectors when it comes to fraud and corruption awareness training.
Non-profit organizations that provide employees with corruption awareness training not only uncover frauds 2.5 times faster than organisations that didn’t, but suffer half the losses. In addition to this, tips-off’s (the most common means of corruption detection) are twice as likely to come from employees who have received corruption awareness training then from those who have not[1].
Based on this, Integritas360 have developed a number of courses specific to the Non-profit and international development sector to ensure that NGO staff and volunteers, not only understand the importance of anti-bribery and corruption compliance but are able to recognise and help prevent it from taking place.
