90% of Amnesty International's entities provide inputs for their accountability reports

What makes this practice exemplary?

Each year, every Amnesty International entity submits a Standard Action Report (SAR) containing information on their activities, campaigns, growth and accountability measures for the past year. The SAR data is collated and analysed to support global planning and measurement of the movement’s performance against stated plans.

The Strategy and Evaluation Unit of the International Secretariat administers the SAR, and analyses and communicates results against performance measures. The SARs are one of the main sources of information for the annual Accountability Reports to Accountable Now. Amnesty International’s 2013 report is based on data from 66 SARs (up from 59 in 2010) which accounts for over 90% of the movement’s entities.
