Research and co-creation of evidence-based safeguarding practice standards

In 2025, the Funder Safeguarding Collaborative (FSC) commissioned Accountable Now to conduct the most comprehensive study to date on how funders approach safeguarding across the grant cycle and which approaches deliver meaningful impact. Accountable Now gathered insights, information, and perspectives from funders, grantees, and non-affiliated professionals to inform the research — thank you to all who participated in the research. The final report “Safeguarding in Philanthropy: Safer grant-making for greater impact” covers key research findings and, through data-driven recommendations, and informs the co-creation of Safeguarding Practice Standards for Funders.
