Reporting at Accountable Now helps organizations commit to transparency, learning, and continuous improvement. Through internal reflection, organizations share their practices, and receive thoughtful feedback on how they can better deliver on their promises to the people they serve.
Accountable Now offers a range of reporting options for organisations to reflect, learn, and grow with us. Every report submitted is carefully reviewed by our Independent Review Panel—an expert group from across the sector. Each organisation receives a tailored Feedback Letter highlighting strengths, suggesting areas for improvement, and offering prompts for deeper learning. Since all reports and feedback are publicly available, reporting also serves as a powerful way to demonstrate transparency and a public commitment to accountability.
Core Reports at Accountable Now are designed to support focused reflection on key accountability areas, which evolve from year to year. The process is simple, yet structured and flexible—encouraging learning, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Our five core questions are designed to get to the heart of what matters most: the organisation’s key achievements and how stakeholders have validated them; major changes impacting your work; lessons learned from complaints or incidents; internal accountability to staff and volunteers; and external accountability to partners and the communities you serve.
Extended Reports at Accountable Now are a comprehensive and in-depth accountability reporting option designed for members who want to thoroughly reflect on their practices and progress across a wide range of operational, strategic and programmatic areas. These reports follow a structured set of questions that nudge organizations towards better dynamic accountability practices. Based on the Global Standard for CSO Accountability, the framework revolves around thematic clusters that reflect universally agreed upon accountability commitments. These are:
The extended framework also asks organisations to provide evidence, examples, and reflections on challenges as well as successes.
Action Plans offer a focused opportunity for organisations to work together with the Independent Review Panel in rolling out, monitoring and tracking a new project, strategy, policy or other organizational processes. By choosing specific action areas —from governance and safeguarding to staff wellbeing, partnerships, and data handling— organizations never have to walk alone in their accountability efforts.
Planning and learning alongside Accountable Now promote strategic learning, stakeholder engagement, and transparency, turning reporting from a compliance task into a pathway for genuine organisational growth and transformation.
