Elie Gasagara

Elie has been with World Vision for about 17 years as Program Development Advisor and Accountability Specialist, based in Nairobi. He has worked for the private sector and government before joining the NGO sector.

Since 2014, Elie is the Vice-President (Partnership Leader) of Global Accountability for World
Vision International. He has over twenty-five years of experience in
development and humanitarian work in Africa, Europe and Asia. He has been with
World Vision for about 19 years in different leadership roles, including an assignment as
Joint Country Director for Chad, Resource Development and Accountability Specialist.
In his role as Partnership Leader for Accountability in World Vision, he leads the
organisational and program accountability and transparency agenda and represents the
organization in various sector engagements. Elie has been active in promoting good
governance in various Civil Society Organisations, including seating on Boards of
different local and global organisations. As well as being on the Board of Accountable Now he is also on the International Board of Life in Abundance International. He is passionate about accountability and transparency
issues affecting humanitarian and development organisations.
